Love Is In The Air!

I finally finished my pair of love birds this weekend and boy just getting it washed ironed and ric-rac added turn a small task into an all day ordeal.   Why you may ask did it take so long?  It is because of what I talked about last week about letting normal life begin.

I decided to just pack up things I was not using and put them in our storage unit and I think you know where this is going... I went to look for my thread to sew the ric-rac on and no thread and I could not find the right foot for my sewing machine.   ACK!  Is all I have to say so off I trot to the storage unit.

I arrive at the storage unit and what do I find out I do not have a key to the storage unit.  So back home I go and get a key to the storage unit.  About 30 min later I find all the items I was missing plus about 2 boxes of items I guess I can not live without   So now my de-cluttered house is cluttered again.   Oh man is it never ending.

In the end my towel is done and so worth it.   Hope you all enjoy.

Let Normal Life Begin!

The New Year is here and boy am I glad! I love the Holidays but my other favorite part is taking everything down and feeling somehow reborn with less clutter.

When all the clutter is gone I am able to get creative again. I am one of those that needs less clutter in order to feel creative and be productive again.  What kind of environment do you need?

Since de-cluttering I have unearthed a few Valentines Day patterns and some Easter patterns. I hope you will enjoy them.  Here is my work in progress a lovely pair of blue birds in love I am working to put up in the shop.  Hope you enjoy.

Hello 2014!

Hello to everyone out there, Welcome to the New Year, 2014!!  I know that the next year has lots in store for Gertrude and I  and I so am excited about it.  So the holidays have come and went.. whew… I’m glad life will get back to normal now, and no more holiday treats… time for new things and to make some changes in my life. So change one, work on cards! Oh wait that isn’t a change that is just fun… and I cannot wait to start working on my new cards, my husband gave me an Cricut Expression 2 for Christmas, it does so much that it is a bit overwhelming to figure it out at first…. But I love it, in fact  I just made some shapes the other day that will work perfect for a Valentine’s day card.. I will be posting new cards so keep your eyes peeled for them.

Hello and Welcome to our Etsy Store!!

 

 

We just to tell you a little bit about ourselves and our store and what we offer.

My name is Iris and my best friend is Gertrude, we have been friends since the 4^th grade when we were placed in seats right next to each other. Boy, I don’t think the teacher knew what she was in for when she sat us next to one another, I think they were sorry later, but it was too late and basically we have been friends ever since.  
 
Gertrude, has always been very good at being crafty, there is a laundry list of things she can make that everyone loves!   Knitting, embroidery and sewing,  she is very talented and always tried to get me to be more crafty and I wanted to, I so wanted too but I just had not found the right craft yet, but now that I’m in my mid 30’s I have found it. I love paper crafting!! So with the magic of technology my best friend and I can open a shop doing the things we love to do in our spare time, even though we live 3.5 hours away from one another we can still work together.  How great is that?!
